Rules of the "font" section

1. All branches of this section are created only for sharing some fonts. (except three, which stated in paragraph 5).
The messages which have no links of the font itself, will be offtopic .


2. Place the fonts to suit their own branches .

2.1 In the theme "Коммерческие шрифты (Commercial Fonts)" must be shared only commercial fonts.

2.2 Free fonts are placed here:
latin – «The Best Free Fonts (Western)»
Cyrillic – «The Best Free Fonts (Cyrillic )»

2.3 The font collections are placed here:
Cyrillic - «Collection of Cyrillic fonts»
For the mixed and latin collections - «Collection of fonts».

2.4 There is a special branch for Hebrew, Arabic, Serbian fonts too.

2.5 There is a special branch for the cyrillic commercial fonts - "Cyrillic fonts - Headsets"

2.6 There is a special branch for corporate fonts - "Corporate Fonts".

Carefully read the topics before your message!
Аll publishers or designers must be in their own branche.
If you want to share the font, the designer or manufacturer that has not yet registered with us - you can create a new branch, with the name of the designer or manufacturer.


3. Duplication not allowed! Be sure to check availability of such branches by the search!

3.1 The duplication of the fonts is unaccepted. Сheck your files by search button before your post. Do a search by name of the font.
The search should be made from the root topic "Fonts", then it'll be conducted to all branches.

3.2 This applies to the branch "Search fonts - orders and answers." If the font is already shared, do not share it again with a smaller hide, just add a link to the post.

3.3 When the font display in the closed section, it makes no sense to give a link (not all have access). In such a case, or if the number of messages requesting can not open the hide, and you really want to help - a link to the author, and the recommendation to apply to him for help



Be sure to hide downloadable links to a number larger than "1". And this should be done when creating the message, not after.



4. Design your own message

4.1 Be sure to write a text in your post (not only images) with full name of the font, otherwise the search engine cannot find your files.

4.2 Make a drop down list (CUT lists). In the collection indicate the number of font families, not the number of files.

4.3 Do not forget to add an basic information for your files. (minimum required: number of styles , format and availability of character encoding (cyrillic/latin) etc.)

4.4 A pretty picture is appreciated.

4.5 Hot linked images are forbidden. Hot linked images are images' links taken directly from the foundry site(s) and then linked in the respective post.

4.6 Use image hosts for storing the picture preview of the font:

4.7 Image size is maximum of 640 pixels either width or height.


5. There are a few special branches for provide the following services:

5.1 Search and request for a font — «Typography Requests (for english speaking users)», responding in the same branch.
Before you ask for help, please try to help yourself by searching the forum.
If search does not help you, leave your request but correctly make it:
Specify the name of the font (or family) which you are looking for. Try to specify manufacturer(designer/distributor etc.) of the fonts.
Possible to find the details about manufacturer at the Myfonts, Fontshop etc. Before you ask "give russian!" refine to products by the cyrillic support.

This will help fulfill your request.
Unformed requests will be deleted.

5.2 For font identification there is a branch «That the font?» for correct identification that would be necessary to load quality images of types.
But firstly try to use "Whatthefont" in "Myfonts" site for to identify the images.
Remember that "No One Owes You Nothing", for this reason, "be polite" when you ask someone to help you.
Be the realist and don't ask unnecessarily about the fonts which released yesterday.

5.3 In the thread "Fonts discussion " you can ask the necessary questions about the fonts and typography.

5.4 Also there is a branch of "Typography Literature", inside this branch share only thematic literature on typography.
Literature on design in general, here to share is not necessary.

If you are not sure that where you should create your message, you can ask to moderators about this. (via personal mailbox)


6. Remember that "this is not a chat".All questions addressed to a specific user, should also be done via personal mailbox.
If you do not have the number of messages in order to see urgently necessary link, do not cheat, and think of ways to score.
Better and faster you can get your desired font, written request to the author of link via PM. Usually do not refuse.
If you have downloaded a font, or somebody has helped you about anything, or if you have liked a message from any user - do not forget to click on the "Thank You" button (in russian "спасибо").
This way is enough for show your gratitude. Do not write messages like "Thank you", "Cool," "What you fellows". Such messages will be deleted. We already know that we are great. :-)


If you want to use the fonts for commercial purposes (for profit), etc. - please buy it.

1. Do not use single file sharing server. Use multi sharing servers always, thus your files can be saved for a long time and they can stay active.
